Our Philosophy

We are committed to listening carefully to homeowners to understand their needs and dreams.  Our relationship with our clients is a priority during the design process.  Based on sound design principles, gardens are designed for year-round beauty and lasting pleasure for the homeowner.  When appropriate, we encourage sustainable and organic gardening practices that are easy on the earth - and healthy for the homeowner too.

Benefits of Hiring a Designer

Having a design on paper helps you to avoid costly mistakes since it allows us to anticipate and solve problems before ever putting a shovel in the ground.  A written plan keeps cohesiveness in the garden, even if it is installed in stages.  A good designer can help whatever outdoor space you have become more beautiful and useful for dining, recreation, relaxation, growing food and herbs-all in a style that compliments your home, your budget, and your lifestyle.

Looking for a way to boost the value of your home?  If you spend 5% of the value of your home on landscaping, and do it wisely, you could get back 150% or more of your money in the increased value of your home.  This is the conclusion of a report in the Wall Street Journal's "Smart Money" magazine, March 2003 edition.  Landscaping your garden costs 60% less per square foot than remodeling your kitchen, while the return on your investment is almost 60% more.
